 TO DIVULGATE THE AMAZON: Taking off from the biggest forest of the world, to fly 53 thousand kilometers around the four corners of the world in a small twin-engine, manufactured by EMBRAER, 30 years ago, to divulgate it as the main goal, is without doubt a great challenge. It is a trip that unites ideals, dreams and people that dreamt one day to discover the world. This was the dream of Odilon and Ramalho. Their ways crossed and the common interest appeared resulting in the first adventure of the team: A turn around the three Americas. The success of the adventure motivated the adventurers' couple to a larger challenge, to fly around the World, in a twin-engine Seneca, an unknown adventure for Brazilians, in this kind of airplane. The challenges won't be few. The airplane will have to be adapted with two extra ferry tanks, that’ll substitute two of the passengers' seats, to fly from Japan to Alaska or to cross, without scales, the whole Saudi Arabia; THE PRESERVATION OF THE AMAZON FOREST: To show to the world the real dimension and meaning , the Amazon jungle, rivers, flora, fauna and the people that live there…
To SHOW how the “JUNGLE’S LODGES” (hotels built inside the jungle) are able to give sustainability to the local people, helping then to preserve their culture and their history.
The respect culture to the Forest and their wealths and the notions of maintainable development implanted has been the responsible factors for the low devastation of the forest in states as Amazon, showing the success and the reach of the adopted model. The tourist, integrated into this special world, through a very mounted infrastructure, it gets to take advantage and to feel all of the emotions of living together with the nature in her purer form;
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: To spread the work of the SOS Children’s Villages, visiting their facilities in 10 of the countries that we will pass, knowing the wonderful work closely done by the Institution, in the world, changing information and photographing the world through these children's hands. The result of this will be a book of pictures that we will publish after the trip, whose copyrights will be donated to the SOS Children’s Villages; ENVIRONMENT: The Expedition will collect data, pictures and impressions as the preservation of the environment affects the quality of people's life; MARCO REPORT: First Brazilians to fly around the world in a light twin-engine aircraft; EARTHROUNDERS: To share with other Earthrounders information and lived experiences, turning the flight of small aircrafts around of the world safer.Our Tribute FRANK HETTLICH: Sharing the last four days of a great pilot, the German Frank Hettlich. |
